Before Each Use
Quick checks to keep your generator running safely
🔧 Check Oil Level
Pull out the dipstick, wipe clean, reinsert, and check. Oil should be between the marks. Low oil can damage the engine.
⛽ Check Fuel Level
Fill the tank with fresh, clean gasoline. Never run the generator on an empty tank — it can damage the fuel system.
🔌 Check Connections
Make sure all cables and connections are secure. Check for frayed wires or loose plugs before starting.
🧹 Clean Air Filter
A dirty air filter reduces performance and fuel efficiency. Tap out dust or replace if heavily soiled.
⚡ Inspect Spark Plug
Check for cracks, carbon buildup, or wear. A worn spark plug causes hard starting and poor performance.
👁️ General Inspection
Look for loose bolts, leaks, or damage. Check that the exhaust and ventilation are clear and unobstructed.

Storage Tips
Proper storage keeps your generator ready when you need it
Drain or Stabilize Fuel
For storage over 30 days, either drain all fuel from the tank and carburetor, or add a fuel stabilizer and run the engine for 5 minutes to circulate it. Old fuel causes starting problems.
Change the Oil
Used oil contains acids that can corrode engine parts during storage. Change the oil before storing to protect your engine.
Clean the Air Filter
Remove and clean the air filter, or replace it if heavily soiled. A clean filter prevents dust from entering the engine during storage.
Cover & Store Properly
Store in a dry, well-ventilated area. Use a breathable cover (not plastic — it traps moisture). Keep away from open flames and direct sunlight.
